1/2 way there - 20 weeks

It seems like I have a very long way to go and a lot to grow, but we are 1/2 way there.

This weekend we purchased a glider for the nursery. I found a nice gently used on on craigslist and we packed into the truck while the snow was falling and drove out to lawrenceville to pick it up. This is not a piece of furniture I plan on keeping long term, so I just went with a simple yet comfortable model.

I have picked out a changing table that I will order and pick up this
week or next. I also have a growing collection of cool things other
moms have given me. I have a nice collection of breast feeding pillows
and covers as well as a portable pump to try. It is a little hard to
get excited about the pump right now, but I know it will come in handy.
The baby's closet also is filling up with a bath tub, a carrier, and a
bottle drying rack. We are on our way.

This week I need toschedule our child birth class at the hospital along with a tour. These wont take place until much later, but the time slots fill up, so you
have to register early. I also have mu 20 week check-up on Wed where
they will check blood and stuff and listen to the baby's heartbeat.

As of 20 weeks, measurements for the baby are from head to toe instead of
heat to rump, so this week the baby is 10 inches and about 10 ounces.
About the size of a banana. Maybe we should name her Chiquita? Just
kidding.

We have gotten a few name books, but have not gotten very far. I want to have at least two names picked out to have as options for when she is born. I think I want to see her before we name her. She might just look like one name over the other.
