It's a Girl!!

We finally had the 18 week ultrasound yeaterday and were able to see the little girl parts. Well, the Dr. pointed them out to us and told us what they were. I would not have know what I was looking at on that blank and white screen. It is a real art to read those things.

The baby was head down when they started which meant lots of poking with the ultrasound wand trying to get her to move. She was not budging. We waited for a bit for the Dr in which time Bri and I were laughing some and that must have done the trick. She turned around for some great shots.

We got lots of shots of her profile and one cute shot of her feet. Everything looked great and the Dr was very pleased with her progress. She is 6 inches and 9 oz. We were able to see the 4 chambers of the heart beating, the stomach, the bladder and the kidneys. Along with all her fingers and toes. We even got a little wave during the appt. Things looked so good that the Dr. said we could come back in 6-8 weeks and not the 4 weeks as previously planned. I will miss seeing her more often, but it was good news.

So we are all set for clothes, I think. With D&M's twins and all the generous friends at church, we probably wont have to buy anything for a while. Although, I am sure I will be tempted to pick up something from mom.
