Week 24, The Soccer Ball

I read this weekend that I should be about the size of a soccer ball, they are right. I was thinking volleyball, but they are about the same. Someone at church told me that I was carrying very low. I had not really noticed, but I guess if you look at how much room I have between belly and chest, they are right. It doesnt really feel so low when I try and bend over to tie my shoes. I am not sure if she will continue to grow out or move up some.

My cold has almost passed, just a bit of remaining congestion. I am feeling much better. Luckily, Brian did not get sick. One down side was that I didnt get to hold the trice twins this weekend. They were both sick too, but I didnt want to make things worse. They are just so cute, it is hard to hold back.

I have been reading a how to care for newborn book that I borrowed from the library. I wanted to see if I liked it before I bought it. A friend told me that baby books are like travel guides, they dont really make sense until you are in country. She is so right. I am reading this book which talks about how to understand what your baby needs and how to respond, which sounds so easy now. I am sure it will be more a of a challenge when I am tired and she is crying. It does lean more towards putting baby on a semi-schedule rather than an on-demand situation which I think is a better option in the long run. We will just see if I can do it.

I have a first appt with a Pediatrician this week. I have a list of questions to ask. it will be nice to get that decision out of the way.
