I cannot believe I have entered the last 4 weeks of the pregnancy. It seems to have gone by very slowly and very fast at the same time. I am definitely at the point where I am ready for her to be here. I have been feeling very tired this last week and needing to take more breaks and rests. The Dr had to up my dosage of thyroid meds again, so I am hoping the new dosage will help me some. It is hard to tell what is pregnancy tiredness and what is thyroid.
I have good and bad nights of sleep. Good is if I only wake up 3-4 times and can get back to sleep reasonably fast. Bad is if I get so uncomfortable I move the show to the couch because I am waking Brian and I am not sleeping anyway. I have watched many a sunrise lately. Our living room does get good morning light.
The baby is still very active and it is fun to feel her big movements and be able to make good guesses about which part I am feeling. I can most easily identify her rear-end and her little fists poking out the sides. She seems to be staying heads down, which I am happy about. The Dr didnt check my progress this week, but will do so next week. I am supposed to monitor the baby's movement, which is good, and call if I have contractions that are 5 min apart for 1 hour. I do feel like the contractions are getting more intense, but they are not consistent so I have not been concerned. I am almost at the 37 week mark (May 20) where there will be no concern if I go into labor.
So for now, I am the lady who walks very slow across the parking lot and the person who has to sit every 10 min t rest up for the next 10 min of activity.
