It is the 14th week and I am glad to be into the 2nd trimester. I am feeling so much better and didn’t think this was possible a few weeks ago. I definitely have more energy, and if I watch what I eat, I feel pretty good. There are some random hormonal things that are happening, and while annoying, it is interesting to see my body take over without even asking me.
It was another weekend of telling more people. What fun. I was able to get in touch with friends that I don’t talk to that often and reconnect. It is really amazing to have friends that you don’t talk to for months and when you do no time has passed. It is like you are still seeing them everyday and know exactly what is going on with them.
I really enjoyed having a new level of conversations with family and friends. When you are one of the last ones to have a baby, there is lots of experience to draw upon.
The baby is going to 3 1/2 inches this week and weighs about 1 1/2 oz. I think we are up to a lemon this week. Major organs are working now like the liver and spleen and I think the baby can pee now. I won’t see the baby again until Jan7 at my next ultrasound.
I am not sure if I have gained any weight. We don’t own a scale. I go back and forth as to if I am bigger than I expected or if I should be bigger. I have a little bump and I am just concentrating on eating what I should and getting all my vitamins. I have to get back to drinking milk. It made me very sick the last few weeks, but I think it will be ok now. I have had peanut butter again without any adverse reactions.
